Run a Campaign

The United Way Annual Campaign is the heart and soul of our work and empowers our ability to impact lives.

Together, we positively respond to McLennan County’s most difficult issues in the areas of Education, Health, and Financial Stability. Participating in the United Way Annual Campaign allows you to support our entire county. You can take part in our collective impact by making a gift through your workplace campaign, or if your workplace does not run a campaign, you may donate to our work directly.

Campaign Coordinators

As a United Way Campaign Coordinator, you are essential to the Annual Campaign. By leading your company’s internal fundraising effort, you are helping to improve lives by raising much-needed funds for investment in community programs and nonprofits. We are here to ensure you have a successful workplace campaign by providing support, marketing materials, event planning assistance, and fundraising ideas. For further information or to begin running a 2021 workplace campaign, please contact Stephanie Mabry, Senior Director of Resource Development & Communications, at stephaniemabry@unitedwaywaco.org or call 254-752-2753, ext. 204.

Benefits of Running a Workplace Campaign

By partnering with United Way, you can:

  • Support Your Employees. Running a United Way campaign helps to provide your employees with the resources they may need during times of hardship.  United Way’s community partners offer services including child care, education, emergency food and housing, health care, family counseling, substance abuse counseling, workforce development, and more.
  • Encourage Volunteerism.  United Way can coordinate corporate volunteer opportunities for those looking to make a difference in our communities.  Whether it’s reading to children, leading financial management classes for families, or helping at the local food pantry—there are myriad volunteer options available every day.
  • Promote Employee Growth.  By running a campaign, you can establish a goal for your employees to attain together, foster team spirit and boost morale.  The experience helps your employees to gain and strengthen leadership, strategic planning, and other skills needed to increase productivity.
  • Enhance Your Corporate Image.  When your company supports United Way, the community recognizes your organization as a contributing corporate citizen. The resulting goodwill can create favorable impressions about your company among customers and clients.  In fact, 92 percent of Americans say they have a more positive image of a company that supports a cause they care about.
  • Create Healthier Communities for Business Viability.  Your organization is only as strong as the communities in which you live and operate.  Your leadership can help United Way provide solutions to community problems and make McLennan County a better place to live and work.
