The ALICE Report (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) sheds light on the hardworking individuals and families in our community who struggle to make ends meet despite being employed. These households earn above the federal poverty level but still cannot afford basic necessities like housing, childcare, healthcare, and transportation.

It is often assumed that people who struggle to provide for their families are either underemployed or not employed at all. In fact, McLennan County has a significant number of residents who, despite being both hardworking and employed full-time, still find it difficult to meet their families’ basic needs.
