Advocacy Center for Crime Victims and Children  254-752-9330 – –   Provides free confidential services to victims. Immediate  24/7  response through a crisis hotline, case management, advocacy, counseling, sexual assault exams and community education.

Alzheimer’s Association, North Central Chapter  254-753-7722 –– Provides respite care funding for families and caregivers dealing with Alzheimer’s. Services include: 24/7 helpline, family education, professional training and support groups.

Arc of McLennan County  254-756-7491 – –  To care and support people with developmental disabilities. For children services include:  After school care, summer camp and a teen/young adult group. For adults services include: The Opportunity Center or a day program for adults, money management assistance, social development and counseling

AVANCE Waco  254-296-0449 – –  Provide family support and education services for at-risk, impoverished families with children ages 0-3 years. Programs are: Parent Education and Interactive Literacy Activity, Educational Toy Making, Community Resource Speakers and Home Visitation. 

Boys and Girls Clubs – To enable all young people especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.  Programs are: character and leadership programs, sports, fitness, recreation and education.  A safe place for children to learn and grow.

CASA of McLennan & Hill Counties  254-304-7982 –  Court appointed special advocates for abused and neglected children in foster care.

Care Net Pregnancy Center  254-772-8270 – – Services: pregnancy testing, limited ultrasounds, information options, counseling, support classes and baby items.

Caritas of Waco  254-753-4593 – – Emergency assistance in the form of  food, clothing, household items, prescription medications and transportation to persons in immediate need.

Community Cancer Association 254-202-8082 – – Financial assistance to cancer patients for cancer medications, supplies and medically necessary travel.

Compassion Ministries  254-755-7640 – –   Provides a homelike atmosphere for women and children who are homeless.  Our program allows those in personal and financial crises to re-establish themselves.  Services include family counseling, job training/search, daycare, children’s programs, transportation, literacy training, health care, social and domestic skills.

Economic Opportunities Advancement Corporation (EOAC) 254-753-0331 – –  Provides dependable and low cost child care.

Family Abuse Center 254-772-8999 or 800-283-8401 – – Offers a free, safe and confidential place for adults and children fleeing violence.  We provide counseling, transportation help, job and life skills education, and more.

Family Counseling and Children’s Services  254-313-4500 –   Provides professional marital, parent/child, family, individual counseling on a sliding scale. Conducts seminars to help divorcing parents guide their children through the divorce process.

Family Health Center  254-313-4200 – –  Provide primary health and dental care to the vulnerable residents in McLennan County.

Girl Scouts of Central Texas  254-756-4497 – –  Educational and fun programs for girls in a safe and nurturing environment.

MHMR Center, HOT Region  254-752-3451 – –  Services to those coping with mental illness, mental retardation, and developmental disabilities.

REACH Therapeutic Riding Center 254-848-7888 – To improve the health, increase the confidence, and promote the independence of persons with special needs through the use of horses.

Salvation Army  254-756-7271 – www.salvationarmy. org –  Crisis intervention providing meals, clothing, shelter and other essential needs.

YMCA of Central Texas  254-776-6612 ––   A fun and safe place for families and children to go providing a wellness center, after school programs, day camp and indoor/outdoor aquatics program.
